DXLD Electromagnetic flow meter
How electromagnetic flow meter work
The theory is based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. That is, when conductiveliquid flow through magnetic field which is Perpendicular to the direction of fluid flows, induced eletromotive force E across the fluid is produced.
E=KBVD
K=Constantof Instrument
B= Magnetic Field Strength
v=Average Flow Velocity
D=Inner Diameter
The induced eletromotive force isdirectly proportional to the average of fluid, the fluid mus meet the standard of minimum conductivity. Voltage is caught by electrode which is contacted directly with fluid, and pass through cable to amplifier, finally it’s converted to a common signal.The advantages of this test method :
1.No parts that interfere fluid, so no morel pressure loss.
2.Signal of voltage is produced around full space of magnetic field, so cable length from electrode level to upper level of sensor is short. The length is 5*DN.
3.Only liner and electrode are contacted with fluid, corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance can be met if appropriate material of electrode and liner is adopted.
4.The voltage is linearly related to average flow velocity, which is an accurate signal.
5.Test result has nothing to do with pressure, temperature, density, viscosity, conductivity( not less than minimum conductivity) of fluid, so it’s highly accurate and reliable.
